This three-card spread places a known past influence beside the present situation and a possible direction. Read the final position as a scenario to consider if a pattern continues, never as a fixed future. Start with facts you already know about the past; the cards do not recover hidden memories or reveal secret events. Compare the three images for a change in pace, posture, or emphasis. Finish by naming a choice you can make now that might influence how the situation develops.

2. Decide whether to include reversals before drawing.
3. Draw one unique card for each numbered position and record its orientation.

Position guide

1. Past influence

   A known experience, habit, or context that may still shape your response. Do not use the card to invent an event that has not been established.

2. Present situation

   A perspective on what is happening now. Compare the interpretation with actual circumstances and separate facts from assumptions.

3. Possible direction

   A hypothetical development to reflect on, not a guaranteed future. Ask what current choices could support or change this direction.

A hypothetical reading example

Hypothetical example: Six of Cups, Two of Pentacles, and Temperance suggest an old habit of saying yes, a busy present schedule, and a possible move toward a more balanced arrangement. The learner reviews commitments rather than treating balance as inevitable.
